CAS Tentative Agreement Update
As mentioned in a previous statement, the ratification vote for the tentative agreement between Wilfrid Laurier University and WLUFA for Contract Academic Staff and Part-time Professional Librarians will take place in early September. The reason for this time line is that many, if not most, of our CAS colleagues are engaged in other pursuits over the summer months and are not available to come to campus for the requisite Bargaining Unit meeting and voting process.
The terms of tentative agreements are considered confidential until after the ratification process. For that reason we are unable to provide details of the agreement until the Bargaining Unit meeting in September. At that meeting, the tentative agreement will be presented and there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion. Members will also be able to review the tentative agreement in the WLUFA office in Waterloo and on the Brantford campus (location to be determined) after the Bargaining Unit meeting and during the voting period.
We look forward to seeing all our CAS Members and Part-time Professional Librarians at the Bargaining Unit meeting in September.
